The African American Arts Institute (AAAI) periodically announces professional, graduate and undergraduate student employment opportunities.
Since 1974, the AAAI is the nation’s only program that manages credit-bearing ensembles dedicated to the performance of Black music and dance. The AAAI is a performing arts program that operates as a unit of the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Multicultural Affairs. The AAAI manages three ensembles offered as courses through the Department of African American and African Diaspora Studies: African American Dance Company, African American Choral Ensemble, and IU Soul Revue. The AAAI annually presents four major concerts and other events, accepts bookings from outside presenters, and manages the African American Dance Company’s Annual Workshop, Camp S.O.U.L., and AAAI Records.
