There are two ways to audition to join the African American Choral Ensemble in Spring 2021:
Option 1: Attend live auditions on Zoom
Monday, February 8, 2021 at 5:00–7:00 p.m. EST
You must join the Zoom session at 5:00 p.m. and remain for the duration of the audition. During the live audition, you will do the following:
Learn your part to a song with the group
Move to Zoom break-out rooms to sing the song you learned
Sing an ascending and descending scale
Match pitch
Sing a song of your choice
You must register online before attending the live audition.
After completing the registration form, you will receive a confirmation email with the Zoom link for you to attend the live audition on February 8 at 5:00 p.m. EST.

Option 2: Submit an audition video
Pre-recorded video auditions are also accepted.
Deadline: Monday, February 8, at 11:59 p.m. EST
Record a video of yourself performing the following:
- Download the recording and learn your part of the song "I Opened My Mouth." Sing your part of the song in the video. Click here to download your part recording.
- Sing a song of your choice (1–2 minutes)
You will submit your audition video by uploading to a Google Drive folder. You will receive access to the Google Drive folder after completing the online audition form.

Acceptance and Orientation
Students will receive an email notifying them of their acceptance from Dr. Raymond Wise, Director.
Accepted students are required to attend an orientation on Tuesday, February 9, at 5:00–7:00 p.m. EST. Orientation will be held on Zoom. Dr. Wise will email you the Zoom link to attend orientation.
