The African American Dance Company Spring Concert will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2022, 7:30 p.m. EST at Buskirk-Chumley Theater in Bloomington, IN.
Directed by Baba Stafford C. Berry Jr., the African American Dance Company shares movement traditions from Africa, the Diaspora, and from African American culture. Since its founding in 1974, the African American Dance Company has performed throughout Indiana, in New York City, and internationally in China, Jamaica, and Cuba. The company’s repertoire includes African dance styles, contemporary, modern, jazz, hip-hop, and various cultural forms.
The African American Dance Company is a course offered for credit through the Department of African American and African Diaspora Studies, and is one of three performing ensembles managed by African American Arts Institute at Indiana University Bloomington.

Vaccine verification or negative COVID-19 test results within 48 hours is required to enter the Buskirk-Chumley Theater. Failure to present a valid photo ID and proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test will result in denial of entry. Masks are optional, though strongly encouraged.
