Afnan was a member of the African American Dance Company (AADC) for three semesters.

Q: What have you loved most about being a part of AADC?

A: I love the sense of community we were able to cultivate and I also loved seeing everyone grow and blossom as the years went by.

Q: What's one of your favorite memories during your time in AADC?

A: Dancing with the drummers in Dunn Meadow during our Earth Day Bantaba.

Q: What advice would you give to incoming students?

A: Be yourself, take up space, and remember you are dancing on the shoulders of ancestors.
