Q: What have you loved most about being a part of AAAI?
A: It's hard to explain how the AAAI impacted my growth in a limited amount of words. Overall, it helped me grow as a musician, brought new role models in my life, and helped me create friends that will be in my life forever. Thank you!
Q: What's one of your favorite memories during your time in the Soul Revue?
A: There are too many great memories to have a favorite! Every year in the Soul Revue was a brand new experience. But I guess if I had to pick one thing it would be the day I was inducted into the IU Soul Revue by Dr. Tyron Cooper while I was in high school. This group was amazing to me, and I finally got to be a part of the journey. Plus, little did I know I was stepping into a program that would impact my life in ways I wouldn't imagine.
Q: What advice would you give to incoming students?
A: You get out of the AAAI what you put into it. If you allow yourself to learn and work hard, you aren't going to regret the time you spent with this program. If anything, you will regret how fast the time goes by.
Q: Anything else you want to share about your time at IU or AAAI?
A: I want to give a special thank you to everyone who made my experience with this program such a unique one. Even though I might not be a student at Indiana University anymore, I will always view the AAAI as family.
